Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Underwood K9 website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

Services Description

Underwood K9 provides professional dog training services including, but not limited to, private lessons, board and train programs, obedience training, behavior modification, and aggression rehabilitation. All services are subject to availability and our acceptance of your dog into our program following an evaluation.

Booking and Payments

When booking our services, you agree to the following terms:

• A deposit may be required to secure your booking
• Full payment is due according to the payment schedule provided at the time of booking
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will be honored at the agreed price

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled appointment may receive a full refund or credit
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee
• Board and train program deposits may be non-refundable after a specified period
• No-shows will forfeit any deposit or prepaid session fee

Specific refund terms will be provided at the time of booking and may vary by service type.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about your dog, including health history and behavior issues
• Ensure your dog is current on all required vaccinations before participating in any training program
• Disclose any known aggression or bite history
• Follow all instructions and recommendations provided by our trainers
• Practice training exercises between sessions as directed
• Pick up your dog at the scheduled time for board and train programs

Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Dog training involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury to you, your dog, or others
• Results may vary, and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from our training programs
• You are responsible for your dog's behavior before, during, and after training
• You assume all risks associated with your dog's participation in our programs

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Underwood K9, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of our services.

Health Requirements

For the safety of all dogs in our care:

• Dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations
• Dogs must be free from contagious diseases, parasites, or illness
• You must disclose any known health conditions or medications
• We reserve the right to refuse service or send a dog home if health requirements are not met

Training Methods

Underwood K9 uses balanced training methods that may include positive reinforcement, corrections, and the use of training tools such as e-collars, prong collars, and slip leads. By enrolling in our program, you consent to the use of these methods and tools as deemed appropriate by our trainers for your dog's training.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Underwood K9 and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Photo and Video Release

By using our services, you grant Underwood K9 permission to photograph and video record your dog during training sessions. These materials may be used for training purposes, marketing, social media, and our website. If you do not wish for photos or videos to be used publicly, please notify us in writing.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Underwood K9 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Indiana.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
